the tonga room in san fran

i know i'm late getting here but i went to san fran last weekend and got to visit the tonga room.
i'm still blown away. what an amazing place!!!
i'm curious if anyone has an info about the tonga...history or anything to share.

I don't know the place, but the coolness vibe went way up when you guys walked in!

In 1929 it was a swimming pool called the Terrace Plunge then in 1945, it became the Tonga Room and Hurricane Bar. There is some history and pictures in the hallways between the bathrooms and the enterance to the Tonga Room.

Also, it has a great happy hour deal with all you can eat dim sum for a small price Monday through Friday.
