I was enjoying reading the Julie London posts, so I wanted to share some info on a new album/artist I just picked up.

This guy rocks! He is a pianist/singer, whose voice is somewhere between Michael franks and Bob Dourough, but less annoying then Bob "school house rocks" Dourough

I see some comparisons to Michael Buble, but with more jazz selections and no pop.

Anyway, from the first track (I've never fell in love before-Frank Loeser-guys and dolls) to the last track, this album is first rate!

With Chuck bergehofer on Bass and Joe LaBarbera on drums, this is a fine debut from a guy who is really clued into what swings!

Damn tootin'! John is excellent. I had a chance to jam with him at the Sportsman's Lodge in Studio City. I thought his voice somewhat Chet Baker-ish only happy :). His piano playing blew me away too. Fluid and swinging without a lot of unnecessary acrobatics althoug I know he's capable.

Squid, you need to move down here so we can jam more often!!
