I stumbled across this lychee cordial from Taiwan today in Chinatown. It's quite cheap (only $6 for the bottle) and tasty. I rushed home to give it the ol' Okonkuluku U. college try. According to the bottle, the lychee cordial was bottled back in '94. Hopefully this stuff doesn't go bad, otherwise I'm goin' bad with it... Anyways, without further ado, here's my new drink: The Lady of Lychee Lovesong! 3oz. Lychee cordial |

Sounds delicious! I make a very similar drink here in good old New York--out of Lichido Liqueur, which is also a lychee cordial, but already has guava (and peach)in it. I just add rum (prefer Malibu and dark rums)and lime and mint, then shake or blend with ice. I can't imagine a more delicious drink. Do you guys have Lichido in Hawaii? |

There probably are some, well tons, of lychee cordials in Hawaii ... not to mention guava, lilikoi, pineapple, mango, liqueurs as well. Can't name any off the top of my head. But there is a great sparkling pineapple wine from Ulupalakua on Maui. |
