Mokopeke by Finkdaddy

Hello again. I wanted to offer up my Mokopeke carving. Mokopeke is a snake-like creature from Moari folklore. I couldn't find much info on him, but it was very interesting to carve.

I started with a piece of hickory-smoked bone to see how it would turn out. I am very pleased with the finish, and believe me, it looks way better in person than in these pics.

Nice work finkdaddy. How do you get that patina? I've heard some other folks methods, just wondering what yours is because it's fairly intense and I like it.
