Purple Orchid featured in new cable TV show - Single in L.A.

I was looking through the Calendar section of the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday and saw this picture taken at the Purple Orchid in El Segundo:

It looks like a "hot" new show on the WE (Women's Entertainment) network, called "Single in L.A." will feature our beloved local tiki bar in at least one episode. Here's the link to the article itself:

It looks like the recent tiki resurgence in the mainstream hasn't slowed down yet.

Funny, I don't recall them serving drinks in any of those mugs (other than that bowl)!
