How are things in Florida?

I'm not very good with the geography of Florida, but I think we have some Ohana in Central Florida. Do we know if everyone there is okay?

Here's hoping everyone is safe and sound.

I'm here and OK. Most of the bad damage was North of me.

do you mean from the storms? I think 14 people died. There were tornadoes I believe.

J

Yes, I mean from the storms and tornados. It was all over the news even here on the west coast yesterday.

Most, if not all, of the 20 fatalities were in Lake County, which is just to the northwest of Orlando. If you've ever driven the Florida Turnpike through Central Florida, you've driven right through that mostly rural area. What happened the other night is just terrible. Houses and trailers weren't just destroyed, they were completely obliterated. Just awful. I can't imagine how many people would have died had the tornadoes struck the highly populated areas of Orlando.

Raise a glass and a prayer...

I just hope this isn't a prelude to what the El Nino fueled hurricane season
is going to be like. Even though my home insurance tripled, I'm glad to have
it this year.
