Mark Ryden artwork?

Does anyone know where to get reasonably priced prints of his "Tiki Suite" and "Pele & Exotica" images? The one on eBay right now is way too steep for me:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=901261545

I love the images and would really like prints of them. I scoured his site, but nothing for sale right now. Any tips appreciated.

send Link an email, he is the guy who framed my Shag litho and my Burke painting.. he has some Ryden stuff in his files (he did last year when i was there) he does an incredible job of matting and framing.

Bosko's site says he has em too, but they come framed and cost more than that auction.

Those prints were originally $300 I think, so for awhile any score for less was pretty good. http://www.budplant.com had them at a discount for awhile, but they're probably long gone. Looks like they're "collectible" now. Also, Ryden's marketability went up super fast - he's a real master. Didn't someone say that Bahookas made their logo from a concept sketch he gave them (without paying him)?

I got the "Pele & Exotica suite" a few months ago from Thomas at "Fine-art gallery". Not off ebay though, I went to the gallery (it's only a couple towns over from me). Thomas is a great guy, and carries thee coolest artist.

Remember these are not prints but "GICLEE'S". Very very high quality. The colors are reproduced so accurately. I love mine.

Also all of Ryden's artwork comes framed (the Giclee's do anyway). He has one ultra-cool frame that is specially designed for each piece.

I think Link at Frame Fetish does great work and I have 2 SHAG prints that I got from him (Leeteg tribute & Banana Liquor). His framing style and the designs he cuts in the matte, with the multiple layers really makes SHAG's work pop.

But if you're getting a Ryden Giclee, you will want to keep the original frame if you're looking to keep the value of it at all.

I know how annoying it is when a noob signs up and never posts again, but I have a really important question, I been refraining from signing up and asking for about 2months now but I've just given up.

I have this Mark Ryden print, it's very old, and I cant for the life of me remember what it's titled. It's driving me mad and I'd like to know if anyone can enlighten me as to what the title of the piece is:

It's titled "Kitsch" and I love that painting

Edit: Is that definantly what it is called, I can't seem to find any record of it on the internet still :(

Does anyone know where to buy the kitsch picture?

T

the kitsch is kinda an older one, and if you aren't on some kind of waiting list these days for a Mark Ryden, good luck.

To my knowledge, old MArk Ryden on a website buy is just not there. His site sells just the newest one, in the matter of days, if not hours.

Ebay for certain prints is the best you can do at the moment. And you are going to be paying more.

To my knowledge, Kitcsh was never made into a true print available through Marks site or porterhouse.

However, it was an early image made available in his portfolio of art to advertise for work, known as a "tear sheet" when he was doing artwork for the music industry/magazines (years ago).

Tear sheets come up fairly often on e-bay, they are 8 x 11 and depending on the image generally sell for 20 - 100 bucks. This image is fairly common.

You will also see people selling this and other images never made into prints, that are from dismantled copies of his book "Anima Mundi".

Last time I heard ryden is really trying to get away from doing any prints at all. Those rare ones that do come up sell out in minutes.

I would love for him to release the Don Tiki cover "Savage Rhythms" image, but it will never happen. There is a Don Tiki poster with the image though.

Ok. I want one,I want one ,I want one!!!!Man that thing is bad ass!

Ahh, I thought so, have browsed all over the web trying to fin the picture, and this picture split into 3 pieces is the only one I have found.... Does anyone have a better picture of Kitsch...... I would have loved to make my own Shag inspired version of that picture :)
