Is anyone interesting in obtaining a life-size figure of a Maori Warrior, from a former museum display? Baltimore's Dime Museum, a wonderful place which featured all sorts of carnival/side-show/unusual items closed a while back, and this Monday (Feb 26) they will be auctioning off what items remain - 307 lots total. One can bid via ebay live auction. Here is a picture of the Maori Warrior. I was debating whether to bid on this. I stopped at the auction preview, and decided he was a bit too scary looking! (He has bad teeth too!) That is not a mask he is wearing - his face is painted with a warrior pattern. Also up for sale are a couple of pseud0 (fake) shrunken heads To see pictures and more detail of all the lots, and other auction information, visit http://www.opferauction.com/public/index2.php Vern [ Edited by: ikitnrev 2007-02-24 15:10 ] |
