you need to remove the pic in your first post if you want people to notice your art. :)

K

Congratulations Humuhumu and Hanford!!

T

I have to say that in the magazine of Tiki Magazine, issue Miles Thompson, you nailed the look if the 3 guys. A lot of stuff going on in that pic, should look great all colored out.

I think the Mrs. HUmuhumu is referring to if they are married.

K

tea key - you are correct - are they married yet?

i am not able to post a progress report on this image YET but i do have a bit of painting done on this image already...i have to say there are going to be quite a few amendments to this piece and many improvements...i love how things evolve!

Miles,

If you do a print with the 3 Buhens count me in. It doesn't get much better than the Buhens, the Tiki Ti and Miles art. Haven't seen you in awhile. I hope you're well. Next cocktail is on me.

You are in the newest "Juxtapoz" again, hanging out with friend Tim B. You look a lot like Lance Armstrong, you ever hear that?

Kooche,
I was looking at your California show pix just now and had to say that it's sum great work and you should definitely get a book going out of those pieces.

Aloha,
ST

K

thanks so much ST! i haven't posted much of the new stuff for my Calipornia show in some time - so it's really encouraging to hear such nice things about the images online right now. while a book deal doesn't look to be on the table today maybe after a couple of shows with work of the same theme it'll inspire someone to come along and put it all together in a nice publication. in lieu of putting the narrative portion of the show together which would consist of a series of pencil drawings with mixed media i'm going to be supplementing with a bunch of littler paintings done in gouache, a series of surf inspired images! the pencil stuff is really important to me and has sparked some great responses and i think that the story is tight so i'm going to be showing a few of those and promising to finish my narrative in the next couple of shows at la luz. the next thing i am slated to do following sept is a one man at the shooting gallery in 08 which i have a theme for already, musicians! i'm really stoked to do that show too!

sorry for the schpeal! thanks for the supportive words!

aloha

K

not the image you expected...i'm working on Mike Jr face and the rest of the tiki bar in his portrait for the show...he's a sensitive guy when it comes to his depiction as i am sensitive when it comes to my drinks at his bar.
