Also, our opening act "Populele" will be playing Friday as well in San Diego at Joe & Andy's Hole-In-The-Wall and Sunday at Winston's (open mic). Now Populele isn't exactly Tiki music, although he does have some Hawaiian songs in his repertoire. What Rob of Populele does is amazing covers of all types of musc on his Ukulele. I like to mix it up a bit, much like we did with our Mugoomba grand opening party where we featured "Wisconsinn's Favorite Entertainer" Lil' Rev, playing tin pan alley style on his Ukulele. There's a 5 buck cover charge, Big Guy. All the seats downstairs are great, heck, the bar is about 4 feet from the stage. It'll be interesting to see how many people show up, this has been barely promoted, mostly on a handful of websites. Even the Bali Hai site doesn't have info, a fact Larry the owner is scrambling to fix right now. If it goes well, it could bode well for the Bali Hai downstairs room being a regular summer Exotica/Surf/Hawaiian/Lounge venue, which would be great. They could book bands the same way Humphrey's across the street does, but with a Tiki tint. And the bar will be open. See ya there. [ Edited by: Cammo 2007-07-18 18:22 ]

I was kind of embarrassed at the lack of crowd. It ended up a quality not quantity show. Met some new people and had a good time. The Bali Hai mugs are different again. The new batch have a slightly protruding lower jaw. There is also a seem visable through the glaze. CLOUSEAUX were great. Cheers.
