anyone know where I can purchase SoHo Lychee liqueur iether online or locally here in the NY tri state area? I've been looking everywhere but all I get are reviews of the stuff and recipes. I was able to make a reasonably delicious lychee cocktail without it but was wondering where I could get my hands on the stuff to what I may be (or not) missing. |

Lychee liquor is awesome. I used to bring Lychee Liquor back from Japan before all of the weird "no liquids" crap on planes - is tougher now. I bought a bottle of Soho in a Boston liquor store not too long ago. Here's where: Blanchard's Wine & Spirits I have no ideas if they ship or not, but at least is roughly in your ballpark...... Good luck & let us know the recipe & how it turns out. Here's the recipe that got me hooked on Lychee Liquor - courtesy Tiki Tiki Tokyo: Tahitian Loco Punch 2.5 oz. Litchi Liqueur Shake with ice |

I finally found a place online...winechateau.com it came out to $21.59 a bottle so I ordered 2! thanks for the recipe, I'll try it once I get my Soho. In the meantime, here's my recipe for lychee cocktail, this recipe actually makes a fair sized pitcher: 16 oz lychee juice I like it shaken with ice and served in small 4 oz glass over ice. when the girls come over for cocktails on the veranda or movies in the backyard, we slosh down 3-4 pitchers easy |

You can buy Soho in a bunch of places in NY. But I don't recommend it. It's bitter and it's kind of boring, especially if you compare it to Lichido--which has a much richer, more aromatic flavor, and also has Peach and Guava in it to excite the palate. I also hear they've just started distributing a lychee-based rice vodka called Kai in California. I'm waiting to see if I can order it and try it. It sounds intriguing. LOVE it! I also saw recently at a Trader Joe's a Lychee and Lime infused vodka, but can't remember the name. |
