Very nice feature! Good for you guys, and all the others mentioned. Thanks to Nick for getting the BOT in there, I really appreciate it:

“Tiki is old-school,” Camara said. “It took a hit in the ’70s because it was ‘establishment’ style. I think in 2000, the popularity of Sven Kirsten’s ‘Book of Tiki’ spurred an interest and a huge subculture of fans.”

Because of the Book of Tiki now being out of print and not easily available, journalists nowadays do not understand its level of influence (out of sight, out of mind), and don't bother mentioning it, their articles often making it look like the Tiki revival is a selfperpetuating fad out of nowhere. TIKI MODERN will have its own impact, but it will not compare to the BOT in the cause and effect sense. You can only understand the BOT if you have the BOT.

....from which I quoted above? It was NICK who gave my book the credit, not the reporter by researching it...
Anyway, I'm just bummed that they are not reprinting the book. :(

Yet HAPPIIIIE that Tiki Mod will be out soon !!! :)

Hey! They mentioned Big Bro's book too? Did anybody see that? Somebody should tell him.

I'm sorry, I didn't wanna go off on a rant, just wanted to thank Nick. This thread is about the article and Waitiki and Bargoyle's tour and the whole thing which deserves the attention.

While the BOT is out of print, Tiki Style is still accessible. Speaking from experience, those who purchase Tiki Style often seek out used copies of the BOT. I just purchased mine from Italy, still in the package, for a total of $31.00, including shipping. However, used prices are going as high as /////$200 plus dollars. So, when is BOT going to be reissued? Sven, Tauschen, somebody?
