We've noticed more people from Tucson popping up on TC as of late so we thought a Tucson tiki events page was in order.

We'll kick it off with DJ Diabolik tonight, Sunday Sept. 12th, at the Kon Tiki.

Speaking of a Tucson. I think that we have a chance to make the Kon Tiki the place to be at during the fall. I think that we are planning for Oct. right now.

October sounds wonderful....and Trader Vic's Scottsdale just contacted me re: a big tiki bash there in October, too!! More details to be released soon...so stay tuned!!

Valley Ho / T Vic's sounds sooooo good! Any excuse is a good one for that kind of fun. We are scheeming about it already!

We are very pleased to finally be able to announce ...............

Auto Exotica will feature many talented local artists, super sweet hotrods, super hot pinup models and live music. We’ll update next week with names and details.

Yes, it is September 29th, but unfortunately it is already sold out, evidently a couple months ago. I know that I and the Cheeky Halves missed out this year, unfortunately. :(

Auto Exotica at Kon Tiki this Sunday Nov. 11th.

Anyone in Tucson, Phoenix, or close enough to make the trip....

This Sunday (the 11th.) is the date for the first ever Auto Exotica show at Tucson's own original Kon Tiki.

The whole thing kicks off at noon. From 12 'til 5-ish is the 'official' car and art side of the event which is an all-ages affair. We'll have a large gathering of vintage vehicles to drool over (not literally) and local artists including (shameless self-promotion) ourselves. The Fabulous Ice Cream Truck will be on hand to pump you up with goodies and there's even a limited edition commemorative pendant! Bring the kids! The Kitchen will be open all day (as will the bar!) and from 5 'til 8 there will be a special Happy Hour.

In the evening it's for grown-ups only. From 9 o'clock we'll have live music from Surf Band 'Wolf Man & The Nards' (No, I don't know what Nards are) and Psychobilly band 'The Dead Tones' featuring Miss Cheeky Half on drums (who knew drummers could make mosaics?). DJ Diabolik will be playing all the 'right' kind of music to fill in the gaps and there's a fashion show and Miss Auto Exotica contest too.

Some new mosaics we've been making...

Some of the participants...

The Offical Limited Edition pendant...

The Poster...

See you there...
