New Tiki Bar in Portland???

I've had 3 or 4 friends who aren't into tiki (but know I am) ask me about a Tiki Bar on SE Morrison close to downtown. I've been asked about this by a few different friends in the past few weeks. Has one slipped by us or are there just false rumors flying around? I always tell them the only ones I know of are Thatch on Broadway and Alibi on Interstate. Any other PDXr's hear about a new bar?

weird. I would have heard about this I would think. I do know that there was a young couple who came in, stopped at the bridge over the pond and she started tearing up. (I hate that word, you can never tell if one means to tear, as if tear a coupon outta the paper -or- tear as in crying. in this case she was crying)

Perplexed I approached them, He said it was their dream to open a tiki bar, but I did it first. That was the last I've heard.

oh, I wonder if they are refering to Maiden in the Mist, a nautical themed bar.

I havent heard about any other places either. Not that I'd go anywhere else, but still.
