Hi, gang? Anyone know where I can donate a computer? Is there an organization out there who handles this type of stuff? Should I call a school? It's still a handy machine. It's a Power Mac 8600/300 with 128MBRam. There's a big ol' Nokia monitor, too. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks a bunch! -Weird Uncle Tiki |

Check with a battered women's aid group. They often supply women getting out on their own with donated computers. And they take old cell phones too. [ Edited by: purple jade on 2003-05-16 19:19 ] [ Edited by: purple jade on 2003-05-16 19:20 ] |

Next time you're in the bay area there are a couple places to take old computers. One in Berkeley and one in Marin (see link to Marin location at bottom of home page) |

I think my manager has called local schools to donate computers. Or what about the local Goodwill or Salvation Army? I think there's also a Jewish Women's Council that Futura Girl knows of where she's donated stuff. (She says their nicer than S. A.) And one more idea is to just list it in the local Recycler for free. That way someone else can come pick it up from you. |
