Aloha! I wanted to let everyone know that I'm offering custom-made cupboards to display your favorite tiki mugs! I'm a southern California woodworker who designs and builds tiki bars and related accessories.
You can see them at my site:

http://www.bigdogtiki.com

I'm testing the waters with my mug cupboard on ebay right now. It is internally lit to show off your mugs! Pine and bamboo construction. Dark stain and poly to finish.
Click or copy/paste this link to see the ebay item: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=130195319616&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=003

I hope you like it and my bars :)

Aloha,

Jeff

Tiki prison..? Granted, I understand that Northridge natives are a little nervous about earthquakes...and that in some L.A. neighborhoods all the windows and doors need bars...but inside the house?
It is a nice shelf, the inside lighting is TRES cool....but the mugs want to be FREE!

Next thing you know the mugs will be carrying shivs and then you'll have to start shaking them down at night.

Well, it IS not without precedence:

The prisoners of the Mai Kai stare gloomily out onto the reveling natives :)
