Purple Tiki Stone Necklace

Pages: 1 4 replies

Bought this necklace thinking of the 1940's 50's carnival necklaces they would give away. It is made of a purple stone with stone beads and hooked together with wire. I was thinking it was Mexican - but the quality was not there so I thought it may be Hawaiian? Anyone can confirm a date? I would guess 30's 40's?

I would say purple onyx and from either Mexico or Peru. I've seen very similar ones in the markets in Lima.

Exactly. I'm in TX we have lots of those necklaces.
My wife likes to wear them when we eat out at Mexican restaurants.
