I am interested in getting an authentic Tiki of this sort. I have a friend desperately trying to become pregnant and thought a Tiki like this would be a perfect gift. Not sure about this one in particular, but would love some info on identifying this type of Tiki and its authenticity.
Mahalo for any discussion.

The range of prices of these Tiki's is vast. New, crudely carved ones are obviously very cheap, but older, intricately carved ones can go for massive amounts of money as they can be of museum quality. My tip is to try getting one from the source - New Zealand.

This particular sentence, "The name tiki (penis) is one which is applied to stone statues elsewhere in Polynesia" caught my eye though as it brings new meaning to 'Tiki' Central......
