Another piece of wordwork in black ash wood. The 5 honu represents all my family members. The white sand at the bottom was what I took from the ocean floor at Waikiki roughly 300 yards out from shore. I understand though that this sand may have originally came from California and is not of natural Hawaiian origin. But this is the best I could do since I stayed at Waikiki only. For me though, it is from Hawaii. |
