Of course, there is Bali Hai in Shelter Island and Mr. Tiki's Mai Tai Lounge in the Gaslamp.

There is this hotel in Carlsbad:

Name:Ocean Palms Beach Resort, Carlsbad, CA
Type:hotel
Street:2950 Ocean Street
City:Carlsbad
State:CA
Zip:92008
country:USA
Phone:(760) 729-2493
Status:operational

Website: http://www.ocean-palms.net
Their web site description:
Ocean Palms Beach Resort is the perfect setting for your San Diego, California vacation getaway, especially if you want to relax and soak in the sun while enjoying the Southern California world-famous surf. Our guests experience cool ocean breezes, warm sand, and exotic Pacific Ocean sunsets while enjoying affordable and comfortable guest rooms.

This is more of a food court establishment, although I understand it does offer tropical decor:

Tiki Hut Island Grille
9450 Scranton Rd
San Diego, CA 92121
(858) 646-0914

When all else fails:

Islands Restaurant
3351 Nobel Dr
La Jolla, CA 92037
(858) 455-9945

I almost forgot - Red Lion Hanalei Hotel in Hotel Circle.

If you can afford to stay in the La Jolla area, heck, you can afford to build your own TiKi bar!

It depends on what you consider LaJolla area?

If you mean walking distance from your hotel....the answer is no, the closest thing to tiki in LaJolla would be the Roy's Hawaiian resturant, which while it has expensive island inspired food and cocktails, it is certainly not a tiki bar.

If you mean, a short drive or cab, yeah, of course, there are several well known tiki establishments in the San Diego area as mentioned above (Bali Hai, Hanalei, Mr. Tiki)as well as other landmarks.

Check out http://www.critiki.com and search San Diego
