Of course, there is Bali Hai in Shelter Island and Mr. Tiki's Mai Tai Lounge in the Gaslamp. There is this hotel in Carlsbad: Name:Ocean Palms Beach Resort, Carlsbad, CA Website: http://www.ocean-palms.net |

It depends on what you consider LaJolla area? If you mean walking distance from your hotel....the answer is no, the closest thing to tiki in LaJolla would be the Roy's Hawaiian resturant, which while it has expensive island inspired food and cocktails, it is certainly not a tiki bar. If you mean, a short drive or cab, yeah, of course, there are several well known tiki establishments in the San Diego area as mentioned above (Bali Hai, Hanalei, Mr. Tiki)as well as other landmarks.
