Surrounded by thousands of palm trees, the Tiki Ti

Pages: 1 2 replies

I drove up Western to Sunset boulevard to the Tiki Ti recently, I must have passed thousands of palms lining the cross streets.
There sits the Tiki Ti nestled next to KCET our local PBS station.
Surrounded by these towering palms where it has stood for almost 50 years.

I'd like to propose a toast to Ray Buen and his entire family.
Thanks for this great Tiki paradise all these past years.
Here's to many more.

The Tiki Ti is the west coast Polynesian-pop epicenter. Our tiki community should come together and create a petition for this venue to become a national historic landmark. I'll be the first to sign!

Here's raising a toast to Mike Sr., Mike Jr. and Mark - Thank You guys for keeping the torch lit, staying true to Ray's vision and honor and memory.
Cheers!

Providing you can smoke in historic landmarks I'd vote.. would hate for a "historic" status to make em have to change things...
