Tiki on Military Insignia

I was looking at a friend's Air Force Patch collection and noticed one with tiki on it. I did some internet searching and found the following:

The United States Air Force's 154th Wing located at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. (this is the one my friend has)

The 199th Fighter Squadron located at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.

The 203d Air Refueling Squadron located at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.

The Hawaii Air National Guard (HIANG)

Nice find. Now I want to join the Air Force, but only if they'll promise to station me in Hawaii :lol:

This patch was officially approved on October 11, 1951"

I have different signs of the french army based in the french polynesia (in atomic testes areas), with tikis on them.

Those French soldiers and their atomic testes. That explains a lot. :lol:
