Martin Denny on NPR

I was listening yesterday morning to NPR on my way to work and heard Martin Denny playing after a news story. It put a smile on my face! I wondered how many TC members were listening. I saw this article in the Honolulu Advertiser today and realized the islands took note of it also!

They used to use one of Martin Denny's tunes as background music for the weather reports on Swedish radio. I forget which tune it was, though.

I'm listening to Hawai'i Radio Connection 91.3 Bellevue, WA and they just played Martin Denny's Coronation! It was cool to hear exotica over the airwaves and not just in podcasts. When the Hoku nominations were announced a few years ago the played cuts from Tiki Joe's Ocean too.
