Next Sunday it´s “domingo de Pascua”, the day Jakob Roggeveen encountered Easter Island. I´m not sure if it´s an anniversary to celebrate, but at least seems like a good occasion to undust and share some of our Isla de Pascua related artifacts and remembrances of the place, if you have been lucky enough to be there, or maybe just show your local moais. Spanish moais looking at the Atlantic Ocean. |

Which also brings up the question: Is the tradition of the Easter egg hunt based on the BIRD MAN CULT? If so, where did the bunnies come into the story? Maybe Babalu can tell us! |

Bigbro: That is a good question! seriously, is there a connection between the birdman from Rapa nui and Easter egg hunting? |

I love Easter, the ying to the yang; forgiveness and a reminder that one always has a second chance! Does the Easter Bunny symbolize Spring or a suggestion to get busy? |

Thank You.
Tell that to that bunny above :). The dog however, apparently took the suggestion to get busy! And now for some fine Moai illustrations accompanying a little wisdom from the good old Trader. |
