I guess the deal is there's a long line of LPs for 25 cents each. You start on one end, and on the other end a guy is throwing them into a dumpster! No joke, that's what I've heard. CAMP (not camp) records on Jet Set Planet! Hi everyone, Check out this week's show at http://www.kfai.org/node/22087 Did I mention that it's NUTS? I went to a rustic (read: low budget) camp in Wisconsin for the weekend. And for the trip, I brought a portable turntable (that comes inside an old-fashioned overnight suitcase). And the records we played? From the local thrift stores near the camp. Hear highlights from THE CAMP. *Los Norte's Americanos play Nashville - Tijuana style *The Love Goddesses let Percy Faith in on some Cheesecake *The Brazen Brass bust up the hootenanny with Horn Blasts! *and, oh yeah, I'm a sucker for those gimmicky Bach LPs, like "Electric Jazz Guitar Bach" on Nonesuch Records. Plus new tunes from Tikiyaki Orchestra (see shameless plug below); music from the film Danger: Diabolik; Catch all this, and some great cocktail tunes, on Jet Set Planet We're live from 10:30-midnight on Monday nights (90.3 FM in Minneapolis) or catch us on memorex in the KFAI audio archives 24 hours a day. Be there, Aloha ~glen p.s. The PLUG: get the new Tikiyaki Orchestra CD "Swingin’ Sounds for the Jungle Jetset!" [ Edited by: I, Zombie 2009-08-18 08:50 ] |
