I just came back from our local Asian mega-mart with 5 lb. of the pretty little buggers!
so far, i've put up some more lychee vodka, and there was a lot of extra juice when i was done shucking the fruit.. so here's my recipe;
1 shot fresh lychee juice
2 shots amber rum(I used Montego bay-I know I know...cheap-ass..)
1 small wedge lime, with the rind
a couple drops orange flower water, or extract.

Shake the hell out of it, and serve martini style, with a fresh lychee garnish.

any other Ideas for drinks or treats?

lychee martinis...not a big fan of vodka, but there are essentially a vodka martini with a wee bit of the juice and two lychees for garnish. We drank hundreds of these in Bali :)

I like to refrigerate them and then eat them plain - so tasty!

P

I agree!
But you almost have to eat them in the bathtub!
BIG squirt factor, and very sticky-sweet...
(ok, all you Kane out there, get your mind out of the gutter about dangergirl!;D)
