Has anybody bought Zombie glasses online?

Hi All-

I wanted to buy about a dozen straight-sided Zombie glasses and figured online would be the easiest source. I'm finding a ton of online vendors... mostly selling by the case - hard to sort through all of them.

Does anybody have experience buying these glasses online? (Also, if somebody happens to know of a source in the SF Bay Area, that would be awesome too).

That's a good idea (thanks CBaBTH!) - do you think I'd be able to find the small quantity I'm looking for? (just 12 or so)

I use these glasses from Ikea. They have a cool retro-ish design and make great glasses for Zombies, Dark 'n Stormys and highballs. Plus they are very, very inexpensive too boot.

Can't beat the price of those... how about the durability?

Durability is pretty good. I run mine through the dishwasher after embibing and I'm yet to loose one yet. The colours of the designs hold up well.

Most restaurant supply stores sell in small quantities to home cooks now thanks to Food TV and the recession.

Another choice is the Libbey Zombie glass which comes in both clear and frosted (my favorite). They're heat treated and designed for restaurant use.

For some reason, Libbey nixed production on these this year and I had a devil of a time finding some even through my local restaurant supply store. Then I found that Cost Plus had bought up a lot of the old stock and I cleaned my local store out just a few months ago. This stuff tends to trickle out of their warehouse so you might want to give you local store a look-see.

They are great for Mojitos and Collins as well.
