Just wanted to share a new ebay auction for an original Tyree nude painting, likely never seen by any of you before... as it was auctioned originally in 1963 and kept in a private home since then. This particular piece is probably one of his greatest masterpieces as far as technique and subtlety goes. I was told it incorporates 9-layers of paint using the low-key style. Yes, a lot of marks with many different colors :wink: No, really there aren't many blemishes at all... there are a couple splits, which could be reconnected after taking it out of frame and which are not on the main image. |
