Oooo, Go Kat Go. Whenever Lady V and I go to Phoenix, we go by there. The owners are really Zazz. We went by and they were closed so we continued to another thrift store and were talking about Go Kat Go. The owner called them on their cell and opened the store for us. They have great a collection of stuff too. Lots of tiki the last time I was there, I couldn't grab it all. Go Johnnie, Go! |

yes, gokatgo is one of the best shops going i think. I'm friends with the owners from back when i lived in AZ, we used to see each other at estate sales all the time, etc. And just down the street from the shop is shaboom and Bo's funky stuff, so that area is really packed with good retro/tiki shops. Brandi and Chris have a very nice tiki collection- she also has amassed quite a bit of witco. Makes me really miss living in AZ, because there are just no stores nearly as good as gokatgo in Central FL |

It's everything but the shade. Go-kat-Go also has a link to http://www.moonshineshades.com/ who has cool repro 50's fiberglass shades and offers hula and hibiscus graphics as well as a bamboo finish. [ Edited by: Scotty on 2003-08-21 09:10 ] |

Scotty, thanks for that great link for shades. I make an occaisional Tiki lamp myself and am always looking for good resources for shades. Here's another link to a cool shade site. http://www.deadlynightshades.com/ |
