Aloha,
here some news from Alsace,
last weekend i met HAKAI at the 2008 Hangar - great moment with a great Tiki at a very great place in the Alpes in Switzerland - what a fantastic moment, many great cars and motorbikes, Rockabilly, sweet Pinups :)
and than you can hear the chainsaw of Haikai :)

here some pics of new Akuae Work

some Avocado Aku's - thanks Kai for the idee very smoth to carve

also some new Tiki Knifes are finished now it's a little Aku Army :)



and here the new bigger Tiki, i called him HEADHUNTER
a about 60 cm basswood piece
i worked on it this week end and i hope to finishe him very soon, can't wait to see him finished, can't wait ......

The headhunter is looking great! It also looks like it could be a tiki playing the drums if you decide not to do a headhunter. :wink:

Hello Guys,

thanks Ben,
the MOAI is out of ACACIA, really crazy colors and nice for carving
a little bit hard but OK
i will finishe him after some more sanding sessions with a smooth colorless stain
i hope the grain will shining

ACACIA wood normaly used by a good friend of mine for his BBQ :)
He had tonnes of great wood at home - i will not be workless for the next months

after some TIKI FREE months the carving virus is back in me

Great weather here in France so i have spend some hours in the backyard for carving

thank you all for your messages thats a pleisure to show my work

Yes BENZART some new projects and pixs will following soon

i will get married at the 11 July so before this important date a lot of things we have to
organize....... not a lot of time for carving but, but the summer holidays will
be hopefully a great moment for carving

The Alsace crew with Vincent a Seb also working on some great TIKI Stuff so i hope
they will also put on TC her pixs

Hey Guys,

sorry but for the moment nothing new
I'm now a happy husband and hopefully next weeks i will have some time to carve
new stuff

this year the HANGAR ROCKIN in Switzerland was a great moment with my friends
to say goodbye at my life before the wedding....

damn! how did i miss your thread? some beautiful work there my friend. someone did some nice work on that vw. while i prefer the karmann ghia that beetle sure looks sweet. next week when you're an unhappy husband start carving again!

some weeks aeh, months passed and yes some new projects restarted
and the pics will following soon
here some pics of a great Woodcarver in the Italien Alpes
There are absolute perfect carvers in these mountain villages
i bought some wood there, very smoth and perfekt for carving
so the winterevenings will be filled with hopefully new projects

Hi Conga,

here some more pics of the devil and some other crazy ones,
the guys there, in the alpes named HERRGOTTSSCHNITZER that seems " Carvers of God "
normaly they do only carvings like Jesus, Jesus at the cross, Biblepersons and persons
frome the mountains, Hunters, Famers and so on
But one of them are very crazy and his house is full of devils, monsters ......no TIKIS
but unfortunatly closed

Benzart : the wood i use now is a special wood from the Alpes in Italie, grows only over 1400 m high in the mountains and smells very, very sweet - its named "Zirbelkiefer" a sort of pine
since i have this wood at home we have this smell in all the rooms :)
