Rapa Nui evacuated. - General Tiki

Let's hope the damge created by the wave is minimal, and that none of the Moai are lost.

I think it is due to reach the island in around 30 minutes time (1.15pm BST). Here's hoping the evacuation of the Rapa Nui people goes smoothly and without human cost. The Moai are pretty resilient and I'm sure they will stand up to the ravages of mother nature...they haven't done too bad over the centuries! Once more, our thoughts are with you all, including Chile obviously. Take care - Trader Jim.

Haven't seen any reports of tsunami damage anywhere in the Pacific, aside from Chile itself.
