Whoa...that's a nice one, and only $450.

Calling on it today!!! Mahalo for the heads up. I had given up searching for awhile since nothing good had come up lately. I am gonna try and take a picture if I get it. Once again Mahalo for the heads up on the local find!

Smells of Asian import Tiki to me.

M

LOL, yep those pesky imports can be well, pesky. It is nice looking though

It is nice for an import, but there was no way they wanted to drop the price. Another battle another time. Mahalo for the find!

I'm sorry, but in my opinion: The headdress is wrong, the face looks propped on, the tongue is strange, the hands are off...not very much, but all of these are subtle signs of a lack of understanding of the style -or an artistic interpretation of it.

P

i agree. especially if you're in a location where you could get one from a local carver for that much.

No worries.. I just thought he looked a little lonely and could use some braddahs around him..
Probably an import if he's teak too...

That looks like Mo'o Ali'i Nui -
although being one of the lesser known Hawaiian gods he is very popular in the Asian import market.

Also known as King of the Big Lizard People !!!
