A mysterious background character that is probably inspired by "Don Juan" the chaman from the Carlos Castaneda (who studied in UCLA) saga carrying what looks like a Tiki... SeƱor sol...

In Marvel's "Agents of Atlas: Dark Reign" graphic novel collection, the agents wreak havoc in the Tiki Hut, in a flashback sequence set in 1958. Art by Gabriel Hardman & Elizabeth Dismang Breitweiser.

Unsupervised Existence # 4 By Terry Laban Dec. 1990

Do you think that Tiki Bar and sign really existed?
This cover reminds me of Shag's for Tiki Road Trip.

Spanish vintage comic

I don't remember the name right now, but I'll check it later and post it.

I don't know where the comic is now... I promise I will look for the name later...

No tiki to be found but a great two-fisted story anyway.

It says "First, we'll sail up New Guinea's crocodile-infested rivers...
and come face-to-face with a tribe of angry headhunters-out for revenge!"

Nice Cover...gotta love the artwork of the late great Gil Kane.

This is a cool comic ad.

Got the lowdown on this ad (check General Tiki) from all the guys at T.C.

Hey finger, I still think this thread should be moved to the General Tiki forum.
I remember there was another great tiki comic book thread with tons of pictures by another dimension kid or something like that... I don't remember the nickname right now...

Boy, I wished I owned this beauty!

Vintage. Made in Mexico. Ultra rare.
Could someone please post the US original version? Jack Kirby, right?

Z
Zeta posted on Thu, May 13, 2010 9:58 AM

I insist, this thread should be in General Tiki or locating Tiki... or other crafts... not here... Please somebody help me move it. I love Comics and I know there's a lot of tiki in comics so it's worth the effort.

Majalo!

Mahalo Hakalugi, sorry to bother you.
I would be happier if you moved my Diplomatic Bureau back into the Ohana Forum where It belongs, but this is a nice gesture from you anyway. Long awaited.

No Tikis, but South Seas related so I think they count.

The Seven Seas are circa 1947, the Fight Comics is probably 1944 or 1945. The Fight character Shark Brodie travelled around the Pacific Islands with his native girlfriend and fought various Japanese soldiers, modern pirates, and other riff raff.
