Two olive green ceramic Tiki mugs. Each measure 6 3/4 inches high by 2 3/4 inches wide. The same design appears on both sides. I see many similar mugs on ebay, but all are slightly different. Can any one identify this pair?

generally speaking this is an orchids of hawaii r-5... there are many different chinese knock offs available of this design.orchids are marked on the bottom.hope this helps.

If marked 'Made in China', it's less exciting, but holds liquids just the same.

Libbey did a version that seems to be everywhere. Some are green and some have brown/green glazes. Check out Ooga-Mooga's listing:

Mine does not look like the Libbey.

The glaze on yours is much sharper than many of the pics on Ooga Mooga's listing. Several of those pics are of the cloudy green/brown glazed Libbey mugs which were offered at an extreme price discount through Cost Plus World Market and other vendors about a year ago. I see them a lot. However, I've also seen better glazed Libbey versions of this mug in the past. It's so hard to tell who made yours without any stamp or sticker. Good luck!

From your picture, it looks like the mugs are the standard green or blue green glaze.

I recently picked up one of these with a green over brown glaze ala Frankoma. I figured it was Chinese as the interesting glaze was on "blah" over-used mold ceramic.

There are 3 types of mugs like these...
Orchids of Hawaii (These don't appear to be OoH)
Libby's (Libbeys mugs are quite heavy)
Shonfeld's (a housewears store)
I have a feeling this one is a shonfelds mug
Check OogaMooga.

Are the Orchids of Hawaii and Shonfeld's always marked?
Mine had a barcode sticker underneath, but no name.

Try entering that barcode into a upc lookup database and let us know if it comes up with anything.
Try:
http://www.upcdatabase.com/itemform.asp
or
http://upcdata.info/
or
http://www.checkupc.com/

I'm sure there are more.

Libby's and orchids do have markings on the bottom.
Orchids will have the item # and Libby's will say just that. The libby's mugs are also very heavy, and taller. SWhonfeld's mugs do not have markings.

The barcode was torn, so I removed it. Since these are light weight with no other markings, I will assume these are Shonfeld's. Thank you every one for your help.
