you said it soccer,
tiki season in So. Cal. is still in full swing.

Is it Sunday yet???

Don't forget this FREE show on Sunday! (After all the other events this weekend!!!)

Let's see, the economy went down the toilet this week so I'm broke. And gas is still expensive so I can't drive anywhere. What could I do today for fun, hmmm.

What's this, Buster's Beach house on the border of Long Beach and Seal Beach? A picturesque bike ride away? And it's free? Hey, I'm there!

Really enjoyed the music, the cocktails, great food, and great to meet you Soccer Tiki, PolyPop, and Marie! hope to see you guys again! XO, KvT

how was the tun out for this?
I really wanted to go,
but I had plans in SD area for a few months.
sigh...
sorry SMH's :(

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Kalika (aka TikiBong) has informed me that the Smokin' Menehunes will be playing at Buster's Beachhouse this Sunday 11/08/2009) from 4pm to 7pm.

WooHoo and I will be there to suport the fellows that typify the "ohana" spirit! They recently played at our wedding and were fantastic!

So come down and kick back on the water overlooking the boats in the marina and listen to the old style Hawaiian sounds of yesterday....(Like being in Hawaii without spending the $$$ for the Airline tix!) The food and grog are good, so what's stopping you? :P

Check this out for their last gig at Buster's: http://www.tikicentral.com/viewtopic.php?topic=34220&forum=17&10

I have plans from 2 to 5, but I will swing by after I am done.

WooHoo! The Smokin Menehunes= The perfect way to end the weekend :)

HM

it was so good to see everyone tonight! perfect way to end the weekend!

TM

Yes, it was great to see a lot of TC people there yesterday! We had a good time!

4 bass players in one room! Kevin Stewart, JonPaul and bigtikijeff!!!! (and of course, I was there)

Please mark your calendars because we are playing at DTBC on Nov. 28th.

correction,
I own a bass, but am not in a band so I don't play it.
:(

Jeff(btd)

TM

Correction: I have scientific evidence to the contrary. I saw a picture of you playing bass with several veterans of the surf scene just recently!

http://www.tikicentral.com/viewtopic.php?topic=33977&forum=17&4

Besides, you LOOK like a bass player. A big bass player. A VERY big bass player!

Dammit I tried to make it..That would have been fun picking all the bass players brains..
Looked like a great time as usual!!

TM

Man, that would have made FIVE bass players in the same room, at the same time! (every guitar player's nightmare!)

Come on down, folks! Not a lot of hoopla, hype or promotion...just a Hapa Haole band playing good old fashioned music!

I will be there around 5:30 or so,
hopefully you guys can go a little over of 7pm.

Jeff(btd)

If you go, Check out the marina. This is where they filmed the opening credits of Gilligans Island. Got documetation right here that says so.....

Filming locations in Southern California

Wish I could go but I got tickets to see the Cal State Long Beach Dirtbags baseball game.

TM

Thank you to all who came! The weather was beautiful, the sunset awesome as it sets over the marina.....the only thing missing was Marie!

Get well soon Marie!
