Some talking Moai in this BBC show...

and the added attraction of Lonnie Smith on Hammond Organ.

There is a child's book called "Night of the Living Tiki," by P.J. Neri.

Just finished watching an episode of the cartoon 3-2-1 Penguins! called 'Wiki Tiki'. Lots of walking, talking tikis and a talking moai with a British accent (their king) on a tropical island planet, Hawaiian/surfer lingo, an erupting volcano, and a lesson about taking time to listen.

On Discovery Kids there's a cartoon called Growing Up Creepie. One of the characters works at the Tiki Chalet. I couldn't find any images online but it's pretty cool for a kid's show.

What??? Nobody came up with Spongebob Squarepants? Amazing Poly themes through-out...houses shaped like tikis and pineapples...bamboo-stick furniture...grass mats...it's all there!

Absolutely SpongeBob!

The town's theater in particular - the entry, the torches, the tikis, it's perfect.

I just caught the Spongebob Squarepants "Tiki Island" Episode. Not sure if that is the name, but it was maxxed out with tikis and tiki songs. I loved it. One of the characters creates a themepark made up of tikis. Must see.

Of course it's been mentioned here before, many times! Just not in this thread. Nevertheless, it's good that you added it.

There are even some threads solely devoted to Spongebob (okay, so they're short threads but still...)

Spongebob

Squidward

BTW, Tiki Magazine (Spring 2006 Vol 2, No. 1) has a great interview with Paul Tibbett, the Supervising Producer of Spongebob Squarepants.

there is a cartoon about Menehunes on Yo Gabba Gabba but I can't find it on youtube. Everytime it comes on my two year old starts shouting TIKI TIKI TIKI.

it was both of my kids 3rd or 4th word they said. I am pretty sure when we take them to the Mai Kai this month their heads are going to explode.

I just watched an episode of The Jetson's that was probably as close to tiki as they ever got... "Swiss Family Jetson" is the title, They decide to chuck it all and move to an otherwise uninhabited moon...the house they build is way kewl! (if you go looking for it, it's part of their 1984 revival attempt).
