Well, here it is, my first piece of tiki art:

It is computer art generated from a video capture of a Serge Gainsbourg video called "Cargo Cult" (1971).

Your art is beautiful. I feel like I'm running through a tropical rainforest, moving so fast the plants are a blur. Keep it up it's new and fun, Wendy

I like how all the natives with headdresses are doing their ritual dance in the jungle. I can hear the drums in the background. I wish there were a tiki or two in the picture. Nice job.

Thanks for the positive responses.

Here is another one (with an actual tiki), this time taken from an engraving from the book The Isles Of The Pacific (1882).

Here's another one (same technique, same source as the last one):

This tiki art stuff is getting addictive. I even went out and bought two blocks of redwood and a pile of chisels. My girlfriend is getting concerned...

Aloha :)
Je ne suis pas certaine de bien comprendre la technique employée...
ce sont des captures d'écran?

sorry for the non french

Baï

Oui, Tiki Baï, c'est ça. La première image est une capture d'écran que j'ai modifiée en utilisant un logiciel genre PhotoShop. Les autres images sont des anciennes gravures que j'ai adaptées en utilisant le même logiciel.

Cordialement,

Here's another one: Kanak Ancestors...
