Will they, won’t they? Can they do it again? Has it really been a year since last time?
The answer to all these questions is yes. EB’s & 326, World Famous Beer and Wine Bars, present their fourth annual Summer Luau Party on Saturday, September 25th, at the Original Farmers Market, 3rd & Fairfax, featuring our favorite Surf Band, the Blue Hawaiians.
When EB’s and 326 hosted their first Luau back in 2007 everyone agreed the Farmers... Market had hit on something big, and over the years it has become the coolest event of summer, as the west patio is magically transformed into a balmy tropical paradise full of Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts swishing and swaying to the music.
The Blue Hawaiians were on a surfin’ safari to the beaches of Encinitas, but band leader Mark Fontana told us they wouldn’t dream of missing the chance to play at EB’s once again. Luckily in Southern California, the nights are still warm, even in late September, so we are calling this our Indian Summer Luau.
The island grooves begin at 6PM with DJ Mick Cocktail, The Blue Hawaiians take the stage at 8.
EB’s and 326 promise a very cool array of Pacific, Caribbean and Blue Moon beers, plus special Luau cocktails made with Asian rice wine and tropical fruits.
So, save the date. Dig out that old Hawaiian shirt or coconut bra and join the fun at EB’s 4th annual Summer Luau party.

and right after that.
Norm of the Ghastly One's new side project band,
the Finksville 5.
is having their debut performance at Bordello in Downtown LA at 10:15pm.
and the Woggles are playing there too.

can you say Double header of events?

to do these 2 events above.

I love posting other events in my own thread,
then I can't get yelled at for derailing the thread.

Jeff(btd)

no decision about it John.

Cover?

nope,
open to the public,
free,

Jeff(btd)

Seriously? ....the same night as Thee Swank Bastards at Dons?? Ugh...
Juke Joint on Thurs, huh?

yep,
I'm glad they are playing at the Juke Joint on thurs.

then I wont feel bad for missing them Sat.

I agree with ATP, Gumbo Pot is the place !! Also a donut at Bob's Donut for dessert.

Parking at Farmer's Market does suck !! I remember before they built that Grove abomination, you could always just pull into the parking lot and easily find a spot.

I have dinner plans in K-Town earlier but I'll see you all at the Bordello.

I'm not much for Gumbo,
but I am sure its good.
