Unique Tiki Mug Shelf Build at Lucas Francis Studios Finished!

Hey Guys,

Someone here posted a pictured of an old restaurant with these cut outs supporting the beams. I thought it would make a great Mug Shelf. So tonight I threw together a 50" x 60" shelf in about four hours. Just need to sand and paint and it will be ready to mount and display my growing collection. I think it will hold 150 mugs total.

Swanky told me that most just put them on a shelf, I was inspired to do something unique.

Got it finished and I painted it the color of my trim in the studio.

Even though it's about 12' tall, by staggering the mugs and having shallow shelves you can easily see everything from the floor. Keeps fingers off my mug collection. :wink:
