I just got this John Margolies' book

The book is amazing, but almost tikiless. Just a couple of images.
You can leaf trough near 100 pages here

So I thought of starting a thread devoted to the subject of Tiki roadside attractions.

Zebra Moai - Madrid

Oceania Andalucia - Malaga

Pareja Moai - Cadiz

Another cool thread Sr. Castaway! Bien hecho.

Giant "Gaugin Tiki Chair" somewhere on the roads of la Rioja, wine country, Spain.
That's me on top of it.

Love Gauguin ala Riojana.
Don't you have a nude version of that photo?
It would be useful to fully appreciate it.

Along Hwy 190 in California, just below the entrance to Sequoia National Park. It was probably supposed to look more Native American, but in fact is quite a bit more Maori inspired!

Tiki's outside the C.P. Three Prop House in Hollywood. Picture from Critiki.

The Moais were moved after a fire to the building a few years ago. Google street view shows that the building has been repaired and the Moais are back.

My friend visited and told me about this giant tiki at the Ronjo Resort Motel in East Hampton, NY.

He thought I would like to mention it in my "Go BIG or Go Home" family Travel Blog. Go BIG or Go Home” chronicles what happens when a small-town family visits the “world’s largest”…whatever! We haven't seen any big tikis yet, but we have seen a giant Buddha, garden gnome, globe, and bowling pin, among other things!

I invite you to take a look and let me know what you think: http://GoBIGorGoHomeblog.com

Ay!

Not a stranger in these parts, of course. Here is a nice, 2005 (but image-refreshed!) thread on the place, love those courtyard views!:
