What a great record guys...Curse of the Tiki is by far the best Hulabilly/Tiki record ever made! Also, thanks for the great show at Tiki Oasis and I hope to see at the Hukilau 11 in Ft. Lauderdale.I just requested you at their Facebook page.

Thanks a bunch for the comments, Tim, that's very humbling. Seriously.

I've been listening to the album a bunch lately and I just hope that everyone gets a chance to hear it! I think there are some pretty cool musical moments on it. If you haven't hear it at all yet, head over to iTunes and search for The Hula Girls or go to http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/HulaGirls to hear samples!

Aloha!

The Hula Girls will be playing at Don the Beachcomber's, THIS MONDAY night (10/18/10), for happy hour. We will have CDs and records available as well as this brand new hand screenprinted poster! Hope to you can make the scene!

Judy Luck....my favorite member of the Hula Girls!

OH MY!!

I feel loved

as you should.
:o

Our song, "Volcano (featuring DJ Bonebrake and Gary Brandin)" was just highlighted on the CD Baby Music Discovery Podcast. The hosts said some nice stuff about our music. If you haven't heard the song yet, now's your chance to hear the song, in it's entirety. Here's the link. http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=295386100

Enjoy!

Interesting side note about this song: originally, it was an uptempo number, and then Dom Tucci had the great idea to slow it down to a trippy, mellow ballad. It is one of my favorite HG songs....very mysterious, and Spike Lucky Designs sings it with such a sad and meloncholy tone to his voice. You can feel his pain as he sings, which is what good singing should always be about: Conveying an emotion. Songs can't always be about the good times, and with much of today's tiki music, it always seems to be fairly fun and whimsical. Not this song, so in that sense it is very unique!

Love that tune too.

congrats guys.

I just got the album on vinyl, and I must say it's playing non stop here on my turntable !

I love it. It's got everything I want to listen to when the weather's nice, to have a cocktail with. We were even dancing with my 3 years old to it this morning, all the family loves it.

And it makes me think of South California a lot, and makes me want to come back for some time !
So, congrats with that great album.

Wow, Virani, thanks so much for the great compliments! I remember sending your record out the other day. Glad you got it. Thanks again!

Just wanted to thank everyone who has purchased "The Curse of the Tiki"!
We have officially SOLD OUT of the CD. We are now going into our second pressing and the new batch should be here in time for Caliente!
