OK, that was too quick after the other pics. I am inclined to react as some folks did after the recent Sandy Warner updates.

It still beats the alternative!

Back to the original postcard, can anyone say for certain whether this Tiki is or isn't in Lilo & Stitch?

The movie and sequels show a number of purportedly Kawai-based Tikis, and I've never been able to find out for certain whether they're based on real Tikis or not (I've even written emails to the Writer/Director/Stitch Chris Sanders).

No answer to Freddie's question above yet.

But I did find a few more photos of Elithe Aguiar from an ad promoting tourism to the Island of Kauai:

Amazing collection of postcards, pictures, screen grabs, everyone!

Bravo Sabu for enlightening us once again to a little peice of history.

Might not make a bad idea for a biopic...

Jungle Ginger/Nancy

Thanks, Nancy!

Now I'm afraid I'm going to have to burst a few bubbles:

The following woman, though adorable, is not Elithe Aguiar

She appears in this Hawaii Vistor's Bureau ad from a magazine dated 1953:

But Elithe Aguiar didn't become Miss Kauai until 1964 and didn't start appearing on promotional materials until 1965.

But if anyone wants to research who the other woman is, I certainly wouldn't mind knowing.

I wonder why this type of classic marketing photo is no longer used?
