podcast question

I have a question... Does anyone know the technical aspects of the podcasts that are featured here? My question has to do with the bitrates of various shows. Of course I am after the shows with the highest bitrates, because I plan to convert the files to flac, thus getting the best sound quality to play on my 50's vintage Fisher tube console stereo! Can someone fill me in on where the action is? Thanks.
