I have this area in my back yard near the fence and over a patio area (about 10' square) that we also use to grow hops from. The hops only grow in the spring/summer. They vine up really fast and are very green. In the fall they die back and have to be cut down. I'm looking for a A-frame type tiki patio awning or trellis that looks similar to a hut. I'll probably have to design it from scratch. But I was wondering if anyone had any photos of similar projects? I'm looking for inspiration! |

Are ya brewin' beer? :D I was looking for a good A-Frame picture a while back and couldn't find one. Here's a picture that Dawn painted. I would make an a-frame with extended carved roof beams and cover it with wood lath, the hops would cover it in the summer and it would still look good uncovered in the winter |

You can always use the basic shape of the Tahitian roof as a sort of breezeway. Mine backs up to a formerly, ugly corner of our lot. Now, all kinds of vegetation has a break from our heat/sun. Good luck! |

McTiki: that's quite a tiki temple you have in your backyard... an eye-catching sign, too! Do you have any more photos to share, or maybe you have posted them in the past? |
