Try using the search function. I used this to find a thread where Benzart mentioned a MAKITA in-line. I got the 14" bar and have been very happy with it. It's not the most powerful saw but works for what I use it for. There were also comments on many different makes. Read through all the comments and see what might work for what you have in mind. |

My advice: Go to sears and buy the cheapest Craftsmen electric they've got, pay the extra 10 or 15 bucks for the 3 year exchange warranty, and then go home and beat the living shit out of it. Just make ABSOLUTELY SURE you retain the receipt. Once you've destroyed & returned 3 or 4 of them they get a little picky about the whole receipt thing. They're good for rough carving. Not so great for cutting big logs into pieces. |
