OK, I can't see a tiki birthday cake thread, so here's a cake I saw at a party in Auckland two days ago to start it off: Yes that's dry ice coming out of his mouth. Seconds before this shot was taken, there was also some coming out of his nostrils too. CN |

My lovely wahine, Aloha Bette, came up with this masterpiece for my birthday on the weekend... A few notes on some of the details: The tiki is from a coco joe's keyring; The sand effect was achieved by crushing arnott's "nice" biscuits with a rolling pin; The Hula girls, uke player and palm tree cake toppers are easily bought online; just off to the left of frame you'll see black candles, grouped in pairs as tiki torches.
