U

I've been trying to find out the name of this Leeteg painting. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

T

It's called "Breadfruit Vahine", what's your relationship to tiki/polynesian culture? And welcome to TC, though it's considered polite here to introduce yourself in General Tikis' "new member" thread.

By the way Dusty the brochure you posted above with the $37.50 price for copies? Well I have a 1965 Paradise of the Pacific magazine with a Davis Galleries ad that offers copies at the same price but also states "Originals available. Priced from $5000. Details on request."

Polite intro or not, thanx for posting this fairly rare Leeteg subject as your first, here's hoping we enjoy more like this.

Shopping for Leetegs in Hawaii, from some old home movies from 1962 or 1963. Back the video up a little more to see some old video of the International Marketplace:

Sabu- that's awesome...

Fun pictures of Hawaii!

Nice shots on board the Matsonia too.
Thx for sharing.

Thanks Sabu....good surfing stuff too.

The Disney footage was a complete and awesome surprise, especially seeing the flying saucer (airforced bumpercars) ride that is often said to have been gone by the late 50's. I knew it lasted longer. Cool to see original 50's styled Autopia cars too! What great times those were, pre-JFK coup no less and with Jackie hair galore, the young boy featured was about my age. Pt. 2 shows even more vintage Disneyland and their excursions into Utah and New Mexico are great as well, then they arrive in Texas. Pt. 3 coming up!

Found one today
I’ll post pics soon
Bammmmmmmmmmm

Does this mean you're going to send it to me? Score!!

Well, let's see it anyway!

Great. If you found it in Vegas, it means I could have come across it first but missed out....

Bamm: :)
Hamo: right place right time I guess

Here’s the story
Met a guy who had a black velvet painting.
He said he got it in 1980, he was an auctioneer,
selling off everything from a bakery that was closing down in Milwaukee.
He said the black velvet painting was of a naked girl,
it was in a secret room in the bakery where they watched stag films.
Sold off everything in the bakery except the painting,
he took it as part of his payment.
Lucky me

Anyway, here she is

H

Beautiful.

Beauty! Good for you!

Wait - people in bakeries used to watch -- stag films?!!!

Amazing, and really sorta funny!

If you cook a funny bone you get laughing stock -- and I find that humerus!

Wow!
