Inspired by the recent "rare Les Baxter tune" thread, I transferred a few songs from Enrique Torres's Exotic Love Music (image courtesy of Popsike), and thought folks might dig his version of Baxter's "Voodoo Dreams." http://www.officenaps.com/enriquetorres_labruja_voodoodreams.mp3 A strange, interesting album, by the way. Arrangements are in the style of Baxter's supporting work for Yma Sumac. Would love to hear other unusual/obscure Les Baxter covers (beyond the ubiquitous "Quiet Village"), if anyone's game. |

Thanks. It's on Protone Records, a tiny Hollywood indie label. There are a couple of cool 45s on the same label (Fleet & Freddy, Roscoe Weathers), but this is the only LP I've seen... |
