Well here goes with the posting of some o' my tiki works.
Mostly paintings and some pinata-type mutations.
Thanks for looking!
Tom

Somewhere in the spring of 2007, tiki kinda took over the art I had been making.
I'm interested in "indigenous" art and had incorporated/imitated art from
Africa, Australia and Arabic cultures. But when Tiki entered the organic process
it really resonated as a central focus and I've been working this way ever since!
These are the first "pieces" I made, they're stencils reverse-painted on glass
with spraypaint mostly.

Most of these have fluorescent paint in them as well, and
I was going for a "looks good in daylight/looks good in UV light" effect
to varying amounts of success.
These photos show the same piece under the two different lightings.

These ones are from early 2008, again with the blacklight/daylight thing going on.

I also was making tiki paintings on shades in 2008 and on.
These are spray enamel and acrylic on grass mats, matchstick blinds,
vinyl blinds that were handy. Also fluorescent paint used. Some of them
get pretty psychedelic with UV and strobe light going. The white paint
"pops" on and off with the strobe, Japanese-seizure style.

here's some of the pinata mutations
